Sholight is proud to announce two newly added new online features: Google Wave and American Express AcceptPay.
Google Wave dramatically alters the way we communicate by offering enhanced information sharing and seamless project collaboration. It has been fully integrated into Sholight's existing Online Enterprise Service provided by Google. Clients are encouraged to sign-up for Google Wave. The service is free as part of Gmail or GAPE.
American Express AcceptPay invoicing service allows clients to quickly, easily, and securely pay Sholight via the internet. Following an event, customers will receive Sholight's new email based invoice. This new web based invoice will contain all the information of our previous as well as a link and directions for payment remittance.

Sholight provides production support to BML-Blackbird and Exposure for the launch of Microsoft's newest Windows Mobile Device the Kin. Special launch parties which take place in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and Atlanta will be held in unconventional event spaces. BML-Blackbird brought on Sholight to providing drafting and site design services.

Throughout April and May Sholight will be working in partnership with Starlight Visual on a variety of events including: A State Of Trance Episode 450, The Bamboozle Festival, as well as Upfront events for Univision and MTV3. Sholight has maintained a close relationship with Starlight Visual for the past four years.

Sholight's Principal Designer Tyler E. Littman returns from South America after a week of show with Disney artist Demi Lovato. Cities included Santiago Chile, Bogota Colombia, Rio De Janeiro, and Sao Paulo Brazil. The short run in South America was excellently production managed by Tony Parodi of Acme Production Services.

Although still under construction, Sholight launches a newly redesigned website. Quoting Tyler Littman, Sholight's owner, "This is something long over due. For years I designed the site using outdated techniques which made it much harder to keep it updated. In fact for the most part we only did an updated every year or so."
Sholight's new site will allow for fast and easy updating as well as integration with social networking and news feeds through Facebook and Twitter. Coupled with Sholight's use of Google Apps Premier Edition and a new VOIP based phone system the company can communicate with its clients with great ease. "We've always tried to be early adopters of new technologies", says Littman, "I will admit we slipped a little with the old website but now we are trying to make up for. I hope everyone enjoys this more modern, up-to-date look."
Keep an on this page for news more changes to the site. Sholight hopes to post new updates and pages on a daily bases throughout the month on February.

Folk music legend Art Garfunkel of Simon & Garfunkel announced his 2010 touring schedule which will kick-off in mid January. As usual Sholight will provide design services for all of the shows. The list of cities includes Tucson - AZ, San Bernardino - CA, Spokane - WA, Portsmouth - NH, and many more. Dates are booked into early November of 2010 and more will be added soon.

Live Nation Special Events announced today that Sholight, LLC will be award the production design contract for the NFL's Super Bowl XLIV Pre-Party in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sholight will be responsible for all staging and video elements in addition to the lighting design. Principal designer and owner Tyler E. Littman will work directly with Site Coordinator/Production Manager Chris Balogh of Live Nation. Sholight has once again contracted Gerard McCarthy as the Production Gaffer. Gerard has been an integral part of prior Sholight productions including Barry Manilow's Songs of the Sevenites, as well as the Yoji Yamomoto store opening in New York City.
The event is to be held on February 6, 2010 on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. There will be performance's from special guests Robert Randolph & the Family, and Barenaked Ladies. The show will feature O.A.R. as the headliner. The event is open the public and attendance is projected around 30,000. Following the performances there will be a 20 minute NFL themed fireworks display.

Tyler E. Littman founded Sholight Entertainment Design Group in the mid 1990s. Born north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tyler was exposed to the industry at a young age. Throughout his young life he was surrounded by some of the top minds in the entertainment world. As part of his love for Entertainment Art, Tyler attended the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) for Video and Film Production. While at SCAD he became proficient in modern filmmaking techniques. His educations in video and film production lead the way for his work in live broadcast television. Today Tyler designs for a number of different areas within the Entertainment Arts, including Television & Film, Concert Touring, Special Events, Installations, Environmental Design, and Video Projection & Convergence. Industry magazines such as PLSN and Live Design have noted his work.

Sholight offers state-of-the-art visualization services with ESP Vision. Thru a partnership with BML-Blackbird Theatrical, Sholight can provide clients with both an onsite and studio experience. Rather then forcing designers to setup the actual lights for pre-programming, Vision allows users to see the show in a virtual environment. This system is not only cost effective and time saving but also extremely accurate. It is a great addition to any outdoor production where daylight and weather can effect programming time. The Vision system included a powerful graphics computer, eight universes of DMX control, 20-inch LCD display, and any necessary interfaces needed to talk to a lighting console. As part of its partnership with BML-Blackbird, Sholight can also provide any lighting console or additional displays such as large format LCD screens or video projectors.
